Florida annual fishing licenses are valid 12 months from the specified start date chosen at purchase (NOT a fixed season/calendar year). Five-year licenses are valid 5 years from the specified start date. Nonresident 3-day and 7-day licenses are valid for consecutive days from the specified start date. Licenses cannot be renewed/issued more than 60 days in advance. Online/phone sales carry additional handling fees (e.g., $2.31 online convenience fee at gooutdoorsflorida.com, $3.33 by phone per county tax collector pages).
